Non-smooth systems have attracted much attention in several
scientific communities since many applications in engineering
and science can be modeled within this framework. Saddle-node
and Hopf 'smooth' bifurcations can be found also in such systems
but, moreover, essentially different bifurcations which cannot
exist for smooth dynamical systems have been detected. Lectures
in SAMI 2010 will focus on the general 'non-smooth' framework
and specially on bifurcations. A nice set of application case
studies will also be shown.
